  • 2022 Data Analyst & Statistics Fellowships with NSF

    The National Science Foundation (NSF) is offering Fellowships in the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES) Research Ambassadors Program in Alexandria, VA (Washington D.C. area).  Appointments may result in a virtual placement due to COVID-19 impacts. Fellowships are for one year and may be extended based upon project needs and funding availability for up to 5 years.

    Activities on assigned research or technical projects may include:

    • Interpreting data and analyzing results using appropriate methods, techniques, and visualizations
    • Practice identifying, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing trends and patterns in complex data sets

  • 2023 [ATP-BIO-RECRUITING1] NSF Research Opportunity for Undergraduates

    The Advanced Technologies for the Preservation of Biological Systems (ATP-Bio), an NSF Engineering Research Center, is excited to announce its 2023 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)!

    The ATP-Bio REU is a 10-week research internship targeting STEM students nationwide who have not participated in prior research.  Students will spend their summer doing exciting, cutting-edge research to help “stop biological time” and radically extend the ability to bank and transport cells, aquatic embryos, tissue, skin, whole organs, microphysiological systems (“organs-on-a-chip”), and even whole organisms through a team approach to build advanced biopreservation technologies.  ATP-Bio REU students will work at the University of Minnesota, Massachusetts General Hospital, the University of California-Berkeley, the University of California-Riverside, or Texas A&M University.

  • Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship Program (BESIP)

    Application for BESIP 2017 is now open!

    The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) sponsored Biomedical Engineering Summer Internship (BESIP) is for undergraduate biomedical engineering students who have completed their junior year of college. The 10-week program, under the guidance of Dr. Robert Lutz, BESIP Program Director, is scheduled from June 5, 2017 to August 11, 2017. The internship will allow rising senior bioengineering students to participate in cutting-edge biomedical research projects under the mentorship of world-class scientists in NIH laboratories in Bethesda, MD.

    Eligibility

Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. To be eligible for the Gilman Program, applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program or internship. The Institute of International Education has administered the program since its inception in 2001.
