  • 2013 NASA ASP Scholarship Application

     

     

    The 2013 NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Application is now open. The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program seeks to attract students interested in the field of aeronautics to work with NASA's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) which is directed toward enhancing the state of aeronautics for the nation, transforming the nation's air transportation system, and developing the knowledge, tools, and technologies to support future air and space vehicles. The ARMD focus is on cutting-edge, fundamental research in traditional aeronautical disciplines, as well as emerging fields with promising application to aeronautics.

    $15,000 awarded for each school year, to be used for educational related expenses

  • 2023 Corporate Scholarships

    Some NACME Board Companies and Non-Board Companies are interested in students majoring in engineering and computer science to apply for scholarship funds and internship opportunities.  These scholarships are open to NACME Scholars and Non-NACME Scholars.

    Selected students will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship and internship with the sponsoring company.

  • 2024 Clarkson McNair Scholars Research Program

    The Clarkson McNair Scholars Program, located in northern New York, offers a 10-week summer research program with a stipend, plus a room and board package totaling more than $5,500.  Clarkson's research for McNair Scholars focuses on engineering or science.  Other benefits of the McNair Program include workshops designed to explore the graduate school application process, GRE prep classes, graduate school visits, faculty and peer mentoring, and opportunities to present your research locally and at national conferences.

    - This course is designed to engage students in the development of pathways towards designs for sustainable and resilient food, energy, and water provision for disaster-prone regions.

    - We work with communities in Puerto Rico, on real world problems, and seek to develop relationships with other stakeholders around Puerto Rico.

    - Students will review social factors that provide context for specific regions, while quantifying potential engineering resilience provided to communities.

  • Amplify Scholarship: Investing in Future Black Scientists

    Application Dates:  October 3, 2023 – November 17, 2023

    The Optica Foundation provides direct funding and support to Black students passionate about physics, engineering, and light-based technologies.

    Each year, 10 Black undergraduate or graduate level students receive a $7,500 scholarship to help ease the financial burden of college.  Other benefits include a one-year members to Optica, access to mentors, and an invitation to the 2024 Amplify Optics Immersion Program

    Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or master's student at a university with at least one year left to complete their education. 

    Undergraduates: have a major in physics, math, chemistry, or engineering and a demonstrated interest in optics and photonics.

    Master's students: have a major and/or concentration in optics or photonics demonstrated with your research and coursework. (If you are a master's student who plans to continue on to a Ph.D. but have not yet finished your master's, you are eligible).

  • Anthony Ihedoha Anaebere, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

    The children of Anthony I. Anaebere, Sr., will award a Memorial Scholarship in his honor to oneNigerian-born or first generation Nigerian-American student pursing an undergraduate or graduatelevel engineering degree at an accredited college/university in the United States of America. The Anthony I. Anaebere, Sr., Memorial Scholarship award may vary each year. For this year we will beawarding a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship may be used for tuition and fees, books andsupplies. All applicants will be notified of the scholarship committee's decision on or before Friday,May 26, 2018 at 8pm Pacific Standard Time (PST).

    Applicants for the Anthony I. Anaebere, Sr., Memorial Scholarship must:

    1. Be a Nigerian-born or first generation Nigerian-American student pursing an undergraduate or graduate level engineering degree at an accredited college/university in the United States of America.

    2. Have a cumulative grade point average (gpa) of : Secondary (high school) students matriculating to a 4-year college/university arerequired to have at least a cumulative 3.0 gpa to apply. College/University undergraduate and graduate students are required to have at least acumulative 2.5 gpa to apply.   

    Applications must include the following documentation and be RECEIVED BY: February 18, 2018 at 8pm PST

    1. A completed Anthony Ihedoha Anaebere, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Application

    2. Current resume from applicant (should include list of activities and honors).

    3. One letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to the applicant’s academic credentials. Letter of recommendation may not be from a relative of the applicant.

    4. Academic transcripts from your current institution and/or enrollment verification letter if you will be matriculating to a new program during the 2018-2019 academic year. (If you are matriculating from high school to a four year college/university you are required to submit verification of enrollment from your college/university and complete high school transcripts).

    5. An electronic digital photo and signed photo/image use waiver.

    6. Completion of Application Essay Prompt (essay should be no more than 500 words).

    PLEASE NOTE: The Scholarship Committee will review applications and select the top three candidates for a phone or virtual interview, after which the final selection will be made.

  • Apple Latinx Exchange

    The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has partnered with Apple to bring engaging and varied experiences to college students.

    Apple will be hosting a career panel discussion on April 28, 2021, titled Latinx Exchange.

    Offered by their employee resource group Amigos@Apple, is open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing a technology career.

    The Latinx Exchange provides a forum for Apple Latinx employees to share their respective stories and offer advice to students in the early stages of their professional careers as they speak of the infinite possibilities in the world of technology.

    Software engineers who work for the Apple Cloud Services (ACS) organization will discuss challenges and inspirations as members of the tech field.

    The Apple Cloud Services team is responsible for crafting systems for Apple services such as iCloud, iTunes, Siri, Maps, and Apple’s software developers take great pride in providing user-friendly products.

    Students who would like to learn more about applying to work at Apple, will have the opportunity to speak with recruiters from the Apple Cloud Services team, and receive guidance in Apple’s hiring process.

    Additionally, students will hear about the importance of diversity and inclusion from Apple’s Latinx employees, and learn how commitment to this mission makes it  one of the top technology companies in the nation.

     

    The Latinx Exchange is scheduled for April 28 at 2:00 PM PDT.

  • Cargill Global Scholars Program

    Cargill Global Scholars receive an annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years, participate in a fully-funded three-day leadership seminar during the first year of the program and a fully funded Global Leadership Seminar to be held at one of Cargill’s global locations during the second year of the program, and are paired with a Cargill leader who will serve as a mentor.

More than eight (8) women in science (i.e., physics and chemistry), math, computer science, and engineering fields will be selected for the 2023 – 2024 cohort.   • CMCC Research Experience for Undergraduates Program

    - The Center for Mechanical Control of Chemistry (CMCC) is a new research center funded by the National Science Foundation

    - Each summer, starting with this coming summer, the Center will have a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program

    - Undergraduate students will carryout fundamental research as a full member of a research group at one of the affiliated center locations (University of Pennsylvania, University of New York City, Texas A&M University, Northwestern University,and University of California-Merced) over a 10 week period.

  • Cyber Security Scholarship available for Fall 2023

    The application for the Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program (ICSSP) for Fall 2023 is now open to Grainger College of Engineering undergraduate or graduate students who want to specialize in Cyber Security/Privacy, or School of Information Sciences graduate students in the MSIM or PhD program.

    This scholarship program is a CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) program at UIUC that provides funding for full tuition and a generous stipend.
