The intern will assist with monitoring and trapping sensitive wildlife species including the Northwestern pond turtle, Western purple martin, bald eagle, and other species as needed. The primary responsibilities will be turtle nest searching, capture of non-native turtles, collecting GPS and morphometric data, and data entry. Work is focused around lakes in the southern Willamette Valley. Additional duties may include field support of other natural resource programs such as native plant surveys, invasive plant removal, assisting with plant nursery operations, cultural resources monitoring, boundary surveys, or park operations.
