  • NOAA Career Panel to discuss internships and careers January 20

    In coordination with Southern Illinois University and Morgan State University, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries plans to host a career panel on January 20, 2023 from 11:30am to 1:00pm EST (10:30am to 12:30pm CST). The panel will include an informational session on NOAA internships and careers. Deadlines for NOAA undergrad internships will close in January and February of 2023.

  • EPA Internship for Regulation of Stormwater and Promotion of Integrated Planning and Permitting, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (Philadelphia, PA; open until filled)

    EPA Region 3 is striving to reduce nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment loads from stormwater operations to meet obligations under the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL). One of the main sources of these pollutants to the Bay occurs as runoff from urban areas and impervious surfaces comes into contact with surface water.

    Description: The Center for Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at Eastern Illinois University isseeking several seasonal fisheries interns and technicians to assist with general field andlaboratory work associated with graduate research projects.
